We are pleased to announce the successful completion of all planned short-term visits under Work Package 2 (WP2) of the PFAStwin project. These exchanges aimed to foster collaboration, promote knowledge transfer, and strengthen research capacities through international cooperation.

As part of these activities, several researchers from UBFC visited partner institutions IQOG-CSIC in Spain and BRGM in France. From September 9th to 23rd, 2023, Dr. Gordana Krstić, prof. Ljubodrag Vujisić, and PhD student Igor Kodranov participated in an exchange at IQOG-CSIC, where they engaged in intensive training in PFAS sample preparation and analysis, visited various scientific groups, and presented their ongoing research. They also took part in the Farmaforum 2023 congress, expanding their professional networks and exploring new opportunities for collaboration.

At BRGM, prof. Vladimir Beškoski explored advanced research platforms such as the Mimaroc facility and high-pressure bioreactor laboratories, collaborating with experts on PFAS biodegradation and microbial interactions. Teaching assistant Natalija Petronijević also visited BRGM, where she gained hands-on experience with 16S rDNA sequencing using the MinION nanopore sequencer and conducted data analysis training, further enhancing UBFC's expertise in microbial genomics.

We extend our sincere thanks to all partner institutions and researchers for their time, hospitality, and knowledge sharing. These visits have significantly contributed to the success of the PFAStwin project and will leave a lasting impact on our future research and teaching activities.
