The application is open to all UBFC employees willing to attend short term training at PFAStwin partner institutions on the topics best practices for the novel methods in PFAS analysis and (bio)remediation. These trainings are intended primarily for helping raise the research profiles of UBFC researcher staff and ESR. The total of five trainings is organized and each will last up to 1 month. The trainings will be organized in the period of May-October 2023 in consultation with the participants and organizers.
The topics of trainings are:
- PFAS in water and sediment- sample treatment, analytical procedures and QA/QC (Spanish National Research Council, Institute of General Organic Chemistry, Madrid, Spain)
- PFAS in food- sample treatment, analytical procedures and QA/QC (Spanish National Research Council, Institute of General Organic Chemistry, Madrid, Spain)
- PFAS in biological samples- sample treatment, analytical procedures and QA/QC (Spanish National Research Council, Institute of General Organic Chemistry, Madrid, Spain)
- Modelling and up-scaling of techniques for the environmental treatment of emerging pollutants -laboratory, pilot and on-site (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières, Orleans, France)
- Methods to assess the toxicity of pollutants on microbial communities (Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières, Orleans, France)

Please, fill in the application form (can be downloaded below), and send a signed copy by email. The original, in duplicate, should be delivered or sent by post to the responsible person from UBFC (see details in the application form). Additionally, a short resume and evidence of employment by UBFC must be provided.
